With zero emissions, lower noise, and maximum versatility, the 18V LXT® Couple Shaft Power Head Kit with a 13" String Trimmer, 10" Pole Saw, 20" Articulating Hedge Trimmer, and Blower Attachments (XUX02SM1X6) is a welcome solution for a range of trimming, cutting, and clean-up applications. It’s powered by one Makita 18V LXT® Battery for performance and run time without the hassles of gas and without leaving the 18V LXT® battery platform. The Power Head features a lever-style lock system for quick tool-less installation and replacement of attachments.

The XUX02SM1X6 kit includes the 13" String Trimmer Couple Shaft Attachment (EM409MP) featuring the rapid loading bump and feed trimmer head, the 10" Pole Saw Couple Shaft Attachment (EY402MP), which provides a seven foot fixed length for trimming hard to reach branches, the 20" Articulating Hedge Trimmer Couple Shaft Attachment (EN402MP) which features 13 angle settings with 135° of working range for efficient trimming of overhead and low-lying hedges, as well as the Blower Couple Shaft Attachment (UB401MP) which features an axial fan design that provides high blowing force power needed for quick clean-ups

The Makita-built brushless motor delivers up to 9,700 RPM. The motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per battery charge than similar non-brushless tools. The brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life and electronic controls efficiently use battery energy to match the changing demands of the application for increased power and speed when needed.
